Description
In Greek mythology, Atlas and Atlante was a young Titan condemned by Zeus to shoulder with pillars kept separate Earth from the heavens. He was the son of Iapetus and the nymph Clymene and brother of Prometheus, Epimetheus and Menecio.
At first only the Hesperides Nymphs were the caretakers of the golden apples, but not trust Hera so he sent them to Ladon, together they were responsible for monitoring the precious golden apples. Atlas recalled the prophecy of Themis, Perseus threatened and advised him to leave. Then Perseus held Medusa's head in the eyes of Titan, and so became a huge stone which is called Atlas Mountains. It was said of these mountains were so high they touched the sky, but the trees were so dense that prevented upload.
